My name is John Louis Good and I’m from Prison City, USA. I play folk and country music around the great state of Michigan. I draw from folk ballads passed down from generation to generation, folk music of Woody Guthrie and all his traveling friends. The 60’s folk revival thanks to Bob Dylan. I also am heavily influenced by the early days of country music by acts like Jimmy Rodgers and then later the 50’s and 60’s honky tonk musicians. I sing songs about my life , the places I’ve been or hoping to go, and the people that shaped the state of Michigan and the rest of the US. I always have some sad songs and theirs always a train song to take you onto your next destination.
